During 2007 she consulted to Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein in São Paulo, Brazil, on long-range strategic planning, resulting in a comprehensive, innovative plan for the institution, in collaboration with the Dean of Tufts Medical School, Harris A. Berman, M.D. They worked with the hospital leadership and met with a team of executives, physicians, nurses, and Board members over a period of half a year. The hospital has implemented the recommended growth and diversification strategies, with great success. She has arranged several follow-up visits to Boston, one in 2008 for their chief oncologist and their architect from Kahn São Paulo to visit a state-of-the-art outpatient cancer center, in 2009 for Einstein’s Executive MBA students coordinated by the Tufts Health Care Institute, and one in 2012 for Einstein leaders with leading hospital officials in Boston.
